North Korea conducted a nuclear test, the capacity of which could be five times greater than the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki in 1945, the Korean agency Yonhap reports.

It is reported that the power of a nuclear explosion in North Korea on Sunday, September 3, was 100 kilotons.

As reported, the power of the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki was 20 kilotons, on Hiroshima - 13 kilotons.

As previously reported, the state television of North Korea on Sunday, September 3, announced a successful test of a hydrogen warhead for an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Earlier, South Korea suspected the DPRK of carrying out a nuclear test after a massive earthquake registered in North Korea on September 3. Chinese seismologists also reported a strong earthquake, which was called a "probable explosion".

The Japanese authorities, who also announced the alleged nuclear test of Pyongyang, insisted that an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council should be convened.
