The Ukrainian government must have forgotten that Ukrainian citizens still live in Donbas; Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform – For Life party said this in his speech at The Pulse, the evening show on 112 Ukraine TV channel.

'We're bringing back the territories. But we're doing this only through these people's conscience, by providing security guarantees - not with some fancy talks, but with certain actions. So, this is where the question appears...When someone says: no, we're not going to bring peace based on surrender. Who offered that? Where are these conditions of surrender? Did you forget that our people, the citizens of Ukraine live in Donbas? These are our people, and they should be treated as Ukrainian citizens', he said.

At that, the politician added that if these people are treated otherwise, then there's no need stating that 'we want peace'.

'The person who said that, the one whom I quoted... I can surely say, that person is not ready for peace, not ready to stop the military action. This is currently my firm confidence', Medvedchuk concluded.
