Since the beginning of July 10, Russian mercenaries landed five attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas; one fighter of the government forces sustained a gunshot wound in action. Press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Friday.
Most of the attacks took place in Luhansk region. Five 120 mm mines hit Ukrainian positions in Orikhove. The militants also fired stationary anti-tank grenade launchers there. In the vicinity of Khutir Vilny, the enemy used 120 mm mortars, stationary anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers.
Joint Forces positions near Novotoshkivske took fire from 82 mm mortars, too.
In Donetsk region, Russian illegal armed gangs fired heavy machine guns and grenade launchers, shellign Avdiivka.
On July 9, one Ukrainian serviceman deceased in combat. Three more were wounded.
Earlier, Ukraine's SBU, the State Security Service, busted a group of separatists who urged citizens of Zaporizhya to overthrow the incumbent Ukrainian government and create a fake republic, the so-called Zaporizhya People's Republic, a pro-Russian pseudostate formation like those in the occupied Donbas
