President Donald Trump signed a decree on Saturday banning administration officials from ever lobbying the U.S. on behalf of a foreign government and imposing a separate five-year ban on other lobbying.

This was reported by Associated Press agency.

The US president said that the people who want to help him in his attempt “to make America Great again" should focus on what they can do for the American people, rather than for the profits that they can get from trading their influence in the government service.

It is noteworthy that the US and Russian presidents held a telephone conversation, which took around 40 minutes. According to the American side, the results of the negotiations will help the two countries to "quickly" to implement plans to combat terrorism, as well as deal with other "important issues of mutual interest."

Earlier it was reported that in the last days Donald Trump signed three decrees envisaging stricter immigration policy. On Friday, January 27, Trump signed a decree on suspension of refugee-hosting program in the US for 120 days, after which, during the year the government would allow no more than 50 thousand refugees to enter the US.
