Over 100 people detained at protests in Belarus today

More than 100 people have already been detained during today's protests in Belarus. This was reported by the press service of the Viasna human rights center.

“On Sunday, November 1, a protest rally is taking place in Minsk. The Viasna Human Rights Center collects information about those detained on at rallies in Minsk, as well as in other cities of Belarus at regional rallies,” the statement says.

It is noted that the list is constantly updated and supplemented, but there are already 140 names of detainees, most of them are from Minsk.

In particular, as indicated, three journalists of the Novy Chas newspaper, a journalist from Belsat and two more journalists, whose publications are not indicated, were detained. Also famous sculptor Gennady Loiko is among those detained at the rally in Minsk, according to human rights activists.

Sunday protests in Belarus are traditional. On November 1, the March Against Terror takes place. Also in Minsk, people reported about problems with the mobile Internet.
