Detained reported Stanyslav Aseev confessed to his spying on the camera of Russia-24. The confession could have been forcibly gotten, MP Yehor Firsov claimed this on Facebook.

‘The article on which I am accused under the legislation of the "DNR" is "espionage," then in this case, yes, I admit these accusations, I do not deny them and openly say that I really worked for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine,’ he claimed in the interview.

Former MP Yehor Firsov commented on the situation on Facebook.

‘Happened what I had been repeatedly warning about. The militants made him confess to espionage and cooperation with the intelligence. He was devoted a full program on Russia-24 channel, ’ he says.

‘There is a whole set of fakes and stamps and diaries, and espionage, and participation in the battalion, and Kievan curators. There is an impression that Stas is made to admit everything that is possible to imagine,’ Firsov claims.

He focuses his attention on how Aseev acts during the interview: his trembling voice, hands that out of habit are put like in handcuffs.

‘Posed shots where he is having food, and a bottle of Borjomi and jars with medicines on the table,’ the former MP adds.

Firsov guessed that the occupants won’t stop on this and will represent Aseev at press conferences and other events as a spy.

‘Hopefully, no one gets the fake seriously, since it is obvious, and as I claimed earlier it is a well-planned setup,’ he summed up.

As it was reported earlier “DNR” militants officially confirmed that a missing journalist Stanyslav Aseev (Stanyslav Vasin – pseudonym) was detained in “DNR.”

Aseev is accused of espionage as all journalists arrested earlier. He can be imprisoned for 12-14 years. UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine was searching for missing Aseev in the occupied territories.

Stanyslav Aseev is 27 years old. During the occupation of Donetsk by the “DNR” militants, he did not leave the city and was publishing his articles in the Ukrainian media under pseudonym Vasin.

Starting from June the contact with the journalist was lost. Human right protection organization Human Rights Watch received information on July 14 that Aseev was captured by “DNR” terrorists.
