Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in cooperation with members of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained the Deputy Head of State Archive of Ukraine on bribery taking, the NABU’s press agency reports.

The official promised to help with the employment of a person at the State Property Fund of Ukraine in return for a bribe equaled to $10.000. Later the parties came to an agreement to lower the price to $9.800. The money was transferred by two tranches. The civil servant was arrested while getting the second part of the bribe equaled to $4.800.

“Now the Deputy Head of Ukrainian State Archive is detained in order of the 208 chapter of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The report of suspicion issue is still solving,” – the post reads.

It is noted, that NABU detectives hold investigatory actions under procedural management of SAPO prosecutors. Now all the measures are assumed to establish all circumstances of the crime and persons possibly involved in it.

Earlier NABU prepared a report on suspicion of Igor Nasalyk, the Minister of Energy and Coal Mining, over declaring false information.

Besides, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky restored the composition of the National Council on Anti-Corruption Policy.
