President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has assigned Yevhen Yenin new agent from this country to represent it in cases against the Russian Federation that concern maritime law. This is mentioned in the decree No.332/2020 signed on May 21. It may be found on the website of the Presidential Office.

Yenin will replace Olena Zerkal, who is now representing Ukraine in cases against Russian Gazprom. Ukraine's Ambassador in the Netherlands Vsevolod Chentsov will be serving as Yenin's deputy.

The diplomats will be representing Ukraine in court cases that are conducted:

- by the UN International Court on Russia's violations of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

- by the arbitrary courts created according to Appendix VII to the 1982 UN Convention for the Maritime Law, regarding the rights of Ukraine in the Black and Azov seas and Kerch Strait, and detention of Ukrainian naval vessels and crew members.
