Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova asks Russian Ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova to facilitate the holding of the thorough medical examination of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleksandr Shumkov and provide the proper qualified medical aid on its results as she reported on Facebook.

“Urgently I appeal to the Commissioner of Russia on Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova to immediately assume necessary measures to restore the rights of the citizen of Ukraine, particularly, facilitate the holding of the thorough medical examination and provide proper qualified medical aid on the result of it,” Denisova said.

It is reported that after the ceasing of the hunger strike, the state of Shumkov has significantly deteriorated. He is bothered with severe headaches, pains in back and convulsions. The employees of the medical institution do not provide the necessary medical aid. Moreover, they provide pills and injections with no explanations of their influence on Shumkov.
