Lyudmila Denisova, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Ukrainian Parliament has sent to Tatyana Moskalkova a letter about the possible rights violation of Pavlo Gryb and Stanislav Klykh, detained in Russia Ukrainians, according to the website of the ombudsman.

There is information that Pavlo Gryb was severely beaten by the other detainees during the transfer to the penitentiary system in Rostov-on-Don. Furthermore, they took all his stuff and food given by the Representatives of the Consulate General of Ukraine. It has become known that 20 years old political prisoner is suffering from a headache and weakness and he is not given special medicines,’ reads the message.

Denisova has prepared a message to the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of Russia, which states the health condition of Pavlo Gryb and violation of his rights to personal security is a major concern.

Also, the Ombudsman requests to provide qualified medical aid to Pavlo Gryb and to assist in providing personal security Of Pavlo and the other Ukrainian political prisoners.

Furthermore, Denisova asks the Russian colleague to inform about the basis of the transfer of Stanislav Klykh to the regional prison infirmary in Magnitogorsk and to assist to undertake independent medical examinations of the Ukrainian by Ukrainian or other foreign doctors.

Pavlo Gryb is a son of Ihor Gryb, the Ukrainian border police officer. Pavlo went to Gomel to see his friend but was captured by Russian intelligence services.

Reportedly, the Russian court began its consideration of the criminal proceedings against Pavlo Gryb who is accused of fostering terrorism.

Earlier, Ihor Gryb claimed that Pavlo is being psychologically pressured in the penitentiary facility. Pavlo Gryb, the Ukrainian political prisoner is suffering from portal hypertension. This is why he needs special medicine on the daily basis. The Ukrainian side had repeatedly expressed the corresponding requirement. The Russian Federation responded that the Ukranian wasn’t experiencing health problems.
