The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stands for the increase of the number of the proving grounds for training with the instructors of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The press service of the Ministry reported this on the results of the meeting of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and the commanding general of the United States Army Europe Ben Hodges.
‘I am sure that we should expand the geography of the training with the instructors from the countries of the Alliance at the Ukrainian proving grounds’, Polotorak said.
At the meeting, he noted that the support of the militaries from NATO counties produces the noticeable, practical results and the passing of the training programs conduced the decrease of the number of the losses in Donbas and reception of the advantages in the military actions.
The Ukrainian Minister of Defense also informed the General Ben Hodges about the promising plans of development of the educational and material resources basis, improvement of the infrastructure of the garrisons and proving grounds. He also thanked him for the personal contribution in the reformation of the Armed Forces and presented the decoration of the Ministry of Defense ‘For development of military cooperation’.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak met with the Chief of NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov and strategic counselors of NATO countries.
