The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak discussed with his Canadian counterpart Harjit Singh Sajjan the issue of the introduction of UN peacekeeping mission to Donbas. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"I believe that the introduction of the UN peacekeeping mission to Donbas will ensure progress in the peaceful settlement of the situation, which will become a deterrent for the aggressor and will allow us to continue the political dialogue in order to return to the issues indicated in the Minsk agreements. The initiative of the president of Ukraine regarding UN peacekeepers shows that Ukraine really seeks to solve the problem, but the aggressor with the proposed format defames the very idea of a peacekeeping mission, "Stepan Poltorak said.
