Defense Minister on disengagement in Donbas: We do not believe militants have freedom of choice

In response to the question "If you still follow the logic that the president’s team believes in, then who controls the disengagement of forces on the militants' side? Local collaborators or directly Russians?" Zagorodniuk emphasized: "We do not believe for a second that the militants have freedom of choice."
As it was reported earlier, the OSCE SMM confirmed the completion of the separation of forces and equipment in area No. 3 near Petrivske village in Donbas.
On Wednesday, November 13, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry and representatives of illegal armed groups confirmed the completion of the withdrawal of forces in this area.

Ukraine's signing of the Steinmeier formula is a condition for participation in the summit in the Normandy format. The implementation of the Steinmeier Plan should be preceded by the withdrawal of troops in Donbas in three areas, followed by a larger-scale troop deployment along the entire demarcation line.
