The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence is currently not participating in the development of a bill on the special status of Donbass. The MP from "Servants of the people", Oleksandr Zavitnevich, told this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Zavitnevich negatively answered the question of whether the defense committee is involved in the development of a bill on the peculiarities of local self-government on the territory of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

“So far we haven’t been attracted. I haven’t seen such a bill, and we are probably all waiting for the president to meet in the “Normandy format ”on December 9. I think that on December 10 or maximum of 11 there will be some kind of decision, and including for parliament. So far we are not working on such a bill," - Zavitnevich said.

As we reported before, the bill on the Security Service of Ukraine currently exists in several versions of the Security Service of Ukraine and the President’s office, as well as a specialized parliamentary committee.  Parliament may not have time to adopt the document before the end of the year.
