President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky claimed he was doing everything for de-occupation of Donbas to bring peace to his country, but 90 percent of success here depended on his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Zelensky said so in his interview with Dim TV channel.
"Today, I believe - and I'm not concealing it, and the Russian president knows my point of view - that 90 percent of success in the mattter of reintegration of Donbas, in the matter of peace in Ukraine, of de-occupation of our territories depends on one man. And people in Donbas should know it. They should not be living with some sort of illusion about it. There are none", he said.
Besides, Zelensky insisted that the closed entry-exit checkpoints in the occupied areas of Donbas are "another proof that the Russian side has little intention to adhere by the agreements regarding Donbas".
"We agreed on the checkpoints at the summit of the Normandy Four (Paris, 2019, - 112 International). I'm a man of my word. We constructed these [checkpoints]. They do have the opportunity to do the same; one can't just say there is no money. It's not true. They just blocked them. Such is their will", he said.
