Vokal was detained in Ukraine due to the illegal use of the technical means

The Ukrainian special services detained former prosecutor of Detection of Organized Crime Department of Czech Police Lyudek Vokal as the Czech mass media reported on April 25.

Ceskenoviny reported citing Irena Valentova, the spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic that Ludek Vokal was detained in Ukraine due to the illegal use of the technical means.

‘The Czech Embassy in Kyiv solves the consular case of one arrested citizen of the Czech Republic who was detained. We are in the contact with the interested people and his family’, Valentova said.

Vokal is suspected in the case of businessmen Albin Arifovich, whom the prosecutor supposedly parceling out information. Also, he is suspected in other disclosure of the information to the involved in the criminal cases. Vokal states that he is a victim of the conspiracy and law enforcement structures’ game.

According to, the Ukrainian special services also detained a Czech diplomat. However, he was released later, taking into account his diplomatic passport.

The Ukrainian special services did not comment this information.
