There is a chance that a criminal case on the UIA plane crash near Tehran may be reclassified. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov in a comment to journalists, Priamyi TV channel reports.
Danilov mentioned the "terrorist act" when he spoke about compensation to the relatives of the victims. In view of this, he was asked about the possible reclassification of the case.
"I will say very carefully. Today there is an investigation, there is a certain article of the Criminal Code, which is followed by procedural processes… Nevertheless, there is an understanding that at any time the case may receive a different qualification," - said Danilov.
As we reported earlier, on January 8, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines (PS 752 flight) with 176 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport.
11 citizens of Ukraine died in the crash. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the passenger plane crash in the Iranian capital had left no survivors.
According to Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venedyktova, Ukraine holds a study of the in-flight tablet found at the crash site.
