So, the meeting is attended by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, German Minister Peter Altmaier, and US Minister Jennifer Grenholm.
The meeting was announced the day before by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. It was indicated that in addition to the issue of transit of Russian gas, the meeting will also discuss the transition to "green" energy and the "green" course of Ukraine.
Offices of the Crimean Platform, aimed at de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, will operate not only in Ukraine but also in a number of other countries.
Crimean Platform is a diplomatic initiative of Ukraine. It is designed to be an international coordination mechanism to restore Russia–Ukraine relations by means of reversing the 2014 annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. The protection of the human rights of Crimean Tatars, environmental degradation, and the stifling of trade in the Black and Azov Sea region are also matters discussed at the summit. The inaugural summit of the platform will take place on 23 August 2021, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
Representatives of 46 countries and organizations are expected at the summit on August 23.
