Prior to September 2021, the death rate from Covid-19 in Ukraine can reach 54-70,000. Yuriy Hanichenko, the director of the Centre of Healthcare Economy of Kyiv School of Economy reported that as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.
"In July-September, we expect a bigger growth of the death rate (from 54 to 70,000 since the beginning of the pandemic), even in case of the outbreak. We expect one already this summer", Hanichenko said.
According to the expert, currently, the situation with morbidity rate in Ukraine is stable. The daily hospitalization rate decreases, and the vaccination rate increases, but it's still too slow and needs to be speeded up. Meanwhile, the average daily death rate in Ukraine is on the level of last summer's top index of 2020; it makes 17 deaths per 24 hours.
However, currently, there is a big threat coming from the Euiropean countries with its high morbidity rate; this is why, the vaccination rate in Ukraine needs to be speeded up.
Kyiv School of Economy also claimed that currently, the vaccinated tourists from Ukraine can visit 20 European countries, including Austria, Estonia, Spain, Iceland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Hungary and Switzerland.
