The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has temporarily suspended work of a number of border-crossing points and terminated pedestrian crossings through a number of border-crossing points, but has left it possible for Ukrainian citizens and people with certificates of temporary admission to return back to Ukraine. The government made the relevant decision at the outgoing meeting on Friday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"The return of Ukrainians to the country remains open," Prime Minister Denys Shmygal emphasized.
The Cabinet representatives did not announce the list of checkpoints, which are suggested for suspension.
It will be published after the approval of the National Security and Defense Council, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov added.
As we reported earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is considering the restriction of flights with Germany and France.
"Today we are having a meeting with airlines... Now we are considering the issue of limiting flights with Germany and France," Vladyslav Kriyliy, Ukraine's Minister of Infrastructure, said.
