The Ukrainian government has approved the list of measures that have to be taken in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The government has also decided to allocate 39.5 million dollars for the first priority purchase of personal protective equipment for the current needs of ministries, departments and services, as well as for the replenishment of the state reserve.
In addition, exports of anti-epidemic supplies will be banned until June 1, in order to ensure that the necessary means of population protection are provided properly.
The government also suggested imposing restrictions on holding mass events that involve 200 or more people. This does not apply to events of national importance. It is eligible to hold sports events with the permission of international organizations, but without spectators.
It is also worth noting that Cabinet of Ministers plans to introduce quarantine in educational institutions for a period of three weeks.
As we reported earlier, as of March 11, there is one laboratory-confirmed case of coronavirus infection in Ukraine: the man got infected while traveling with his wife in Italy.
