An emergency situation has been declared in the Dnipropetrovsk region. So far, the decision is formal. This was reported by the press service of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration.
The decision on the introduction of an emergency situation was made by the regional emergency commission in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"I believe that there are no grounds for an emergency state, this decision of the commission is rather formal - necessary for the organization of work of the staff. It will not cause additional restrictions," the head of the regional state administration Sviatoslav Oliinyk said.
He also appealed to the police leadership, asking it to not close down businesses where there was no urgent need.
"We have to keep the region's life sustainable as much as possible," Oliinyk summed up.
As we reported earlier, the First Deputy Head of Kyiv city state administration Mykola Povoroznyk stated that the state of emergency could be soon declared in the capital of Ukraine.
"Yesterday, we confirmed the increase of restrictive measures and agreed on the state of emergency in Kyiv," he said.
