The number of infected passengers on board of Diamond Princess cruise ship reached 174, as coronavirus rages on in the world. The Japan Times reported that with the reference to Japanese Healthcare Ministry.
Another 39 people appeared to be carrying the virus, including 29 passengers and 10 crew members. The Japanese authority reported that a teen girl is among the infected; she became the first patient in this age group.
NHK channel added that the Healthcare Ministry's official who inspected the ship got himself a new type of coronavirus, too.
There are some 3,700 people aboard Diamond Princess from more than 50 countries worldwide.
Earlier, Ukraine's Healthcare Minister Zoryana Skaletska reported that the evacuation of Ukrainians from Hubei province has been postponed. Currently, there are ongoing preparations for the next stage to take place. The Ukrainian side examines medical facilities that are supposed to host the patients for a two-week-long quarantine.
She also reported that before getting on an aircraft, Ukrainians are supposed to get special documents. By signing them, they agree to be placed under quarantine.
About 50 of 80 Ukrainians who are now in China said they wanted to go home. During the previous two flights, about 350 people returned from Hainan island to Ukraine. None of them carried coronavirus.
