Covid-19: Ukraine updates lists of ‘red’, ’green’ zone countries

Ukraine has updated the list of countries of the "red" and "green" zones. This was reported by the press service of Ukraine's State Agency for Tourism Development on its Telegram channel.

Albania, Bulgaria, and Egypt have been added to the "green" zone. This became possible by raising the permissible threshold of active patients from 40 people per 100 thousand population to 55 patients per 100 thousand population.

Thus, Montenegro and the Maldives remain in the "red" zone. It means that those who enter Ukraine from these countries are obliged to pass a 14-day observation.

As we reported earlier, the new anti-record on the number of positive tests for Covid-19 worldwide have been observed in the last 24 hours.

On July 16, 248,914 new cases of the coronavirus were observed and it became the record number of a daily incidence during the whole period of the pandemic.

Totally, 13.9 million cases of the infection were observed in the world since the beginning of the pandemic. Currently, over 5 million people are infected; while 1% of them are in severe or critical condition (over 59,000). Over 8.2 million people recovered; while over 590,000 people died.
