Chernivtsi City Council is preparing a lawsuit against the government's decision according to which the city was assigned to the "red" quarantine zone. This was announced by City Council Secretary Vasyl Prodan during a protest rally outside the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, the press service of the City Council reports.

"The official (Vasyl Prodan - 112 International.) added that the Chernivtsi City Council planned to sue the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a demand to cancel the city's assignment to the 'red' quarantine zone," the statement said.

As we reported earlier, the Ukrainian government may re-introduce the red zone quarantine all over the territory of the country if the epidemiological situation gets considerably worse.

"(...) one cannot rule out that the government will have to impose the red zone mode for the entire country to halt the progress of the morbidity rate. Because the nation's health is the main priority of the government," reads the message.
