Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure in the form of detention to Volodymyr Ruban, Leader of Center of POW Release 'Officer Corps'. Ruban is suspected of preparation of insurrection and murder the country's leadership. Lawyer Valentyn Rybin claimed this on Facebook.

Ruban was detained on March 8 at the Ukrainian checkpoint at the demarcation line of Donbas Conflict zone. It is stated that Ruban is suspected in the illegal handling of arms, preparation of a crime and terrorist action. Later the Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv arrested Volodymyr Ruban, the Leader of Center of POW Release 'Officer Corps' for 60 days without a right to the bail. The Court extended the arrest on May 4 to July 2.
Also, it was reported that non-affiliated MP Nadia Savchenko and Volodymyr Ruban, the Head of 'Officer Corps' planned to attack the cortege of the President of Ukraine with the large caliber sniper rifle.
Later, Ruban was included in the list of exchange from Donetsk People’s Republic. The time of the next exchange of the hostages is unknown. At the trilateral contact group session in Minsk, Ukraine expressed its readiness to exchange 23 Russians for the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. At the same time, the militants demand to give them 80 convicted in exchange for 15 Ukrainian hostages.
