Kyiv's Pechersk district court decided to arrest the entire property and assets owned by Petro Poroshenko, the fifth president of Ukraine. Press office of the State Bureau of Investigations reported that on January 6.

"The court decided to seize the suspect's property owned by him in accordance with the information from the State Register of Rights to Immovable Property and the Register of Rights to Immovable Property, the State Register of Mortgages, the Unified Register of Prohibitions on Alienation of Immovable Property. In particular, these are real estate objects, corporate rights, etc.", reads the message.

Poroshenko's lawyer Ihor Golovan said that the motion was filed by a prosecutor named Belkin. The defender noted that according to the CPC, such motions are considered with the participation of the MP who must be informed about the hearing in advance in accordance with the established procedure.
