Friends and relatives of Deputy Mayor of Dnipro Mykhailo Lysenko who is suspected of the embezzlement of $1.172 million of state funds provided the bail in the sum of $24.000 as Ukrainian News reported citing its own source at the law enforcement bodies.

“The bail was provided right after the choosing of the restrictive measure; Lysenko did not stay in the remand center,” the message said.

It is noted that on October 28, Lysenko will return to work.

There are no official comments on it yet.

Earlier, the border guards detained Deputy Mayor of Dnipro Mykhailo Lysenko at Kharkiv Airport. Earlier he was handed the suspicion in absentia as the official was abroad.

According to the investigation, Lysenko along with other officials of the city council and enterprise-supplier are suspected in the embezzlement of $1.172 million of state funds during the construction of the New bridge in Dnipro.

Later the court arrested Mykhailo Lysenko with the possibility of bail in the sum of $24.000.

Earlier NABU, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine filed the notice of suspicion against Dmytro Bilotserkivets, Kyiv Deputy Mayor. He is charged with filing unreliable information.
