‘District Administrative Court of Kyiv adopted a decision to dismiss the claim of the plaintiff's representative to provide Viktor Yanukovych with state lawyers,’ reads the message.
The report of the court notes that the appointment of the state lawyers from the Regional center for provision of free secondary legal assistance cannot complicate or make impossible an effective defense impossible or restoration of the violated rights and interests of the plaintiff, and decided that the relevant claim is not a subject to satisfaction.
It should be noted that Obolonskyi District Court of Kyiv summonses the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on September 13, 14, 17 and 18 in the case of high treason.
As it was reported earlier, the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office asks the court to sentence ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to 15 years of imprisonment in the case on state treason, as Prosecutor Maksym Krym said during the debates in the court on Thursday, August 16.
Reportedly, fee-based lawyers of Viktor Yanukovych started a skirmish with police in the building of Obolon District Court of Kyiv, where the next court hearing in the case of treason against former Ukrainian President takes place today.
The reason for the conflict is the denial of access of the Aver Lex lawyers to the court hearing. The latest has also made a stand against Yuriy Ryabovol, Yanukovych’s state attorney, and his participation in the court hearing. The security officers refused to let Vitaly Serdyuk and his colleagues into the courtroom, the mix-up with security officers and policemen began after that.
