The Appeal Court of Chernihiv region left the appeal of the defense of Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories Yuriy Grymchak without consideration. The lawyers appealed the detention of Grymchak and bail in the sum of $237.000 bail as Ukrainian News reported.
“The appeal is left without motion,” the worker of the court said.
The defense is provided with 10 days to eliminate the comments. The comments concern the provision of the original warrant from the lawyer not copies.
On August 14, the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), together with representatives of the Special Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine, detained Yuriy Grymchak, the Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs, and his assistant on a $ 480,000 bribe.
Besides, it was reported that Yuriy Grymchak is under questioning in Prosecutor General Office. Later Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) published a video of detention of Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs Yuriy Grymchak.
On August 16, court arrested Grymchak for two months with an alternative to be released on 6 million UAH (240,000 USD) bail.
