The court made the respective decision on Friday evening.
On August 14, the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), together with representatives of the Special Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine detained Yuriy Grymchak, the Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs, and his assistant on a $ 480,000 bribe.
The representative of the interests of the private limited liability company reported the problem during the talk with Grymchak. The solution of the problem lies within the competence of the court.
The mentioned limited liability company demanded the consultations on the consideration of the civil case on the collection of debt from another private company in its favor. Grymchak responded that he might provide the adoption of the necessary court decision for the remuneration in the sum of $100.000.
According to the official, he supposedly had to appeal to deputy Prosecutor General to make her influence Head of Cassation Civil Court as he was able to influence judges of the same court.
Further, the sum of the unlawful benefit was reduced up to $80.000. After the receiving of the first part of the unlawful benefit in the sum of $50.000, the deputy minister and his assistant distributed the funds among themselves. The second part of the sum, $30.000, was passed to them on August 14, 2019.
At the same time, in one of the talks with the deputy minister, private limited liability company’s representative told him about the passing through the difficult procedure of the agreeing of the authorization documents for the construction works at the land plots in Kyiv, which belong to the cultural heritage. When the deputy minister found it out, he offered his services on provision of the agreement of the project documentation for the remuneration in the sum of $1 million.
These funds had to be distributed among the heads and officials of the executive branch of Culture Ministry, Justice Ministry, State Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Kyiv State City Administration and other establishments.
After receiving of $450.000 and $30.000 of the whole sum, Grymchak and his assistant were detained.
Besides, it was reported that Yuriy Grymchak is under questioning in Prosecutor General Office. Later Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) published a video of detention of Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs Yuriy Grymchak.
