Economic court of the Odesa region opened a criminal proceeding against Mister Drake PC company, which owns the Delfi tanker; the vessel sunk not far from Odesa in November 2019. This is mentioned in the court's decision issued on September 1.

State enterprise Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine filed the lawsuit against the company. It says it took the damage equal to the amount of 85,000 U.S. dollars. The administration of ports asks the court to charge this sum from the defendant.

In November 2019, Mister Drake PC claimed it owned the vessel and provided the documents that confirmed it was its property. Then, the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine asked Mister Drake PC to pay for the operation to liquidate the consequences of the vessel's crash, but nothing followed.

On August 14, the Administration turned to the court, asking to charge the money from the owner company, and then asked to arrest the vessel, so that the future decision could be adhered by.

In November 2019, the Delfi tanker remained in the waters of Pivdenny port; a powerful storm thwarted the vessel to Odesa, and it sunk not far from the coast. No attempts to lift it off the sea bed turned successful until July 26, when it was put on its backbone.
