The Appeal Court of Kyiv allowed the Prosecutor General’s Office to hold the special investigation in absentia against Natalya Poklonskaya, the MP of the Russian State Duma and former Prosecutor of annexed Crimea. The press service of the court reported about this.

‘On February 28, 2018, the judge of the judicial division on the consideration of the criminal proceedings of the Appeal Court of Kyiv refused in the opening of the appeal proceeding on the appeal of defense on the decision of the investigation judge of Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated September 20, 2017’, the message said.

It is noted that the court satisfied the appeal of the Prosecutor General’s Office by this decision and gave the permission on the special pretrial investigation against Poklonskaya.
