Ihor Mosiychuk, the Ukrainian lawmaker who suffered injuries due to the attempt on his life on Wednesday evening, released the statement, commenting on the attempt. His press service spread the statement via Facebook.
‘I take it the contractors are in Moscow. The perpetrators are Kyiv-based; perhaps, these agents were recruited among the local patriots,’ the statement says.
Mosiychuk added he only survived thanks to his deceased bodyguard Ruslan. ‘My deep condolences to his family. I will never forget them. Now I have three children; the third one is Ruslan’s four-year-old daughter,’ his press service wrote.
Mosiychuk’s right side of the body suffered the most; this is where the explosion had the impact on the body. The surgery proved successful; doctors say he is in moderately grave condition. He is in the intensive care unit now; Mosiychuk already regained consciousness by now.
As is known, two people were killed and another three were wounded due to the explosion in Kyiv on Wednesday night; MP Ihor Mosiychuk suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for surgery. His life is beyond danger now.
The police considers the incident a terrorist act.
