The head of the political council of "The Opposition Platform - For Life" party Viktor Medvedchuk is confident that the Constitutional Court will soon consider and make a fair decision on the law on lustration.
“And I’m sure that the Constitutional Court will eventually consider it and make a correct, fair and constitutional decision. I believe that it will be fair. This government did everything to prevent the Constitutional Court from considering and adopting a decision on lustration. But I think that in the near future we will achieve it anyway,” Medvedchuk stated in a Big Interview show on the 112 Ukraine.
That is why, he noted further, "The Opposition Platform - For Life" participates in this process of repealing the law on lustration as unconstitutional. “And so when you say lustration-2, I’m a categorical opponent of lustration-2, 3, 4, 5. Although many are carrying such ideas from the standpoint of revenge, which I think is extremely wrong. There is one criterion - people who are in the system of government must have a level of professional training. They must be ready to fulfill these obligations, and the implementation of these duties must be effective, directed in the interests of the country, in the interests of the people. So there can be no complaints about them. There can be no other reason, because the other is politics, which in this case manifests itself on its worthless side," Medvedchuk noted.
Earlier, it was reported that in Ukraine 208 prosecutors and investigators were lustrated.
