Considering Ukraine’s lawsuit against Russia in the Hague-based UN International court will most likely take several years. Olena Zerkal’, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, said this at a briefing in Kyiv on January 17.

‘Considering such cases is a really difficult and long-lasting procedure. When the court makes decisions about taking temporary measures, judges give time for both sides to prepare their memorandums on the issue. This case is going to take a while before it’s dealt with – probably years’, Zerkal’ said.

As 112 International reported, Ukraine filed the lawsuit against Russia and submitted it at the UN International Court on Monday.
