Despite the legislative ban, the campaign materials of political parties and candidates are still placed in the territorial districts this day.
New billboards have appeared at the streets before the elections. They have no baseline data, while they are made in the style of individual candidates and political forces.
Committee of Voters observers reported illegal campaigning in Zakaprattia, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kirovograd, Donetsk, Odesa, Cherkassy, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions. Advertising of candidates and parties is also present on the Internet.
We recall that Saturday, July 20 is the day of silence before the snap parliamentary elections in Ukraine. On this day, all sorts of election campaign are prohibited by the law, and the voters can make a choice free of any influence.
The day of electoral silence starts at midnight on July 19 and lasts on July 20.
“On election day, 132,500 workers of the Interior Ministry will be involved, including the operational presence of rapid response teams, special forces and for the first time, the united aviation security of the Interior Ministry. Moreover, we enhance control of the state border, firefighting and pyrotechnic detachments,” Arsen Avakov, the Interior Minister said.
