The withdrawal of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) contingent officially began in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This is reported on the CSTO website.

The ceremony was held in Almaty to conclude CSTO operations on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The ceremony was held at the Sagadat Nurmagambetov Military University of the Ground Forces.

The contingents of the Collective Security Treaty Organization marched in a clean march. Stanislav Zas, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, addressed the participants of the operation.

"The CSTO peacekeeping operation, conducted on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the request of the country's leadership, is coming to an end on schedule," the CSTO Secretary General said.

The process of withdrawal of CSTO troops from Kazakhstan will not take more than 10 days.
