As part of the vaccination against Covid-19, Ukraine will use the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotec, and this manufacturer can be trusted, according to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health.

"Sinovac has developed and marketed vaccines against hepatitis A and B, influenza viruses, mumps. Sinovac's vaccines are approved in 34 countries around the world, including countries such as Argentina, Brazil, India, Turkey. Hepatitis A vaccine is prequalified by the World Health Organization", said the Ministry of Health.

During the existence of the company, more than 3 billion vaccinations were made with its drugs, 59 million of which were for children, the Ministry of Health points out.

On March 25, the first batch of the Chinese vaccine CoronaVac produced by Sinovac arrived in Ukraine - in total, Ukraine ordered 2 million doses of the vaccine. The first batch contains 200 thousand doses. Subsequently, Ukraine will receive the rest. In total, our country has ordered 1.9 million doses of the drug.

Ukraine should produce its own vaccine against coronavirus while there is a "war" for existing drugs in the world. This was stated by the Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov on Facebook.

Now there is a fight in the world to get vaccines against coronavirus. Therefore, Ukraine must produce its own drug.

“Today, when there is a real war for vaccines in the world, when the governments of the countries impose bans on the export of contracted and paid vaccines batches, there is only one way out - to start producing our own. To do this, we must amend the legislation and give priority to Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers in state orders. They are ready to invest in this, but they need guarantees that the state will buy from them, because they will not be able to compete with large pharmaceutical manufacturers in price, "Stepanov said.

He added that "our vaccine may be more expensive," but the country should go for it, because it is a matter of national security.
