The Chinese diplomats have informed the officials from G20 countries about the refusal of the Chinese leader in the participation in the meeting of the group last month in Florencia. The Chinese delegates mentioned the Chinese protocols of counteracting Covid-19 as the reason for the cancelation of the visit to the summit in Rome. These protocols can include quarantine requirements for returning travelers.
The agency noted that the absence of the Chinese head at the event will complicate the talks toward important agreements on issues raised during the summit.
The summit of G20 is planned for October 30-31 in Rome.
The Finance Ministers of the G20 summit signed the agreement on global tax at the organization summit in Venecia.
