Chief Military Prosecutor to investigate news article assuming occupation of Ukraine by Romania in 2022

The original story included references to possible occupation of southern and western regions of Ukraine that border Romania

Anatoliy Matios, the Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine promised to start the investigation into the recent scandalous article. In it, the author assumed the occupation of some western and southern regions of Ukraine by Romania in 2022. Matios posted this on Facebook.

'I hereby report that tomorrow (June 4, - 112 International), I'l put it on the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, this data on preparation (...) to especially tough crimes that aim to disrupt the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state', he wrote.

He referred to the original story at Information Resistance NGO's website; that included references to possible occupation of Chernivtsi region and part of Odesa region. They border Romania.

Due to these allegations, Matios claimed he planned to convene a session with the leading officials of Ukraine's Defense Ministry, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Security Service and the Foreign Ministry.
