Ukraine's Central Election Commission sets second round of local elections in 11 cities

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has set the second round of local elections in nine regions of Ukraine for the second half of November. This was reported on the CEC's Facebook page.

"According to the information we received today, the second round of voting has already been scheduled in nine regions. The voting will take place on November 15 and 22," the statement reads.

In particular, on November 15, the second round of mayoral elections will be held in such cities as Sumy, Lutsk (Volyn region), Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), Kamianets-Podilskyi (Khmelnytskyi region).

On November 22, repeat voting in the mayoral elections is scheduled to take place in Sloviansk (Donetsk region), Drohobych (Lviv region), Uzhhorod (Zakarpattia region), Brovary (Kyiv region), Poltava, Lviv, and Rivne.

As we reported earlier, on October 25, the local elections took place at all levels in Ukraine for the first time ever. The citizens voted for the representatives in the local and regional councils and heads of village and city councils.

According to the Central Election Commission, the voter turnout at this year’s local elections was 36.88%
