Central Election Commission reports voter turnout at 2020 local elections

Voter turnout at this year’s local elections was 36.88%, the Central Election Commission (CEC) reports.

"100% of the information provided by all regions of Ukraine has been processed. The data came from territorial election commissions. 10 million 556 thousand 621 voters received ballots and voted yesterday," the statement said.

According to published data, the highest turnout was recorded in Ternopil region - 44.68%, as well as in Lviv region - 43.82%, and in Volyn region - 41.89%. The lowest turnout was observed in Donetsk region, 31.67%, as well as in Mykolayiv (32.02%), Kharkiv (32.33%), and Kherson (32.39%) regions.

As we reported earlier, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine, the election campaign and the very process of voting in the local elections in this country met the highest democratic standards and the current legal framework.

The authority claimed that the central government was ready to cooperate with all representatives of the local power so as to create and maintain civilized living conditions all over Ukraine.
