The process of the acceptance of the protocols with wet stamps after the second round of the presidential elections takes place faster than after the first round, as 112 Ukraine reported citing Deputy Head of the Central Election Commission Yevhen Radchenko.a
On April 23, the Central Election Commission got 29 protocols with wet stamps from the territorial election commissions.
“Concerning the paper protocols with wet stamps: the commission got 29 of them and we have 11 protocols since yesterday. Thus, as for now, the Central Election Commission accepted 40 protocols. We do not have any remarks yet, the protocols are processed, any of the territorial election commissions were offered to recount the results. So, in comparison with the first tour, the works is faster and more precise,” he stated.
Such difference in the speed of the processing of the results in comparison with the first tour connected with “difference in the number of the candidates,” according to Radchenko.
The second round of the elections of the President of Ukraine kicked off in Ukraine on April 21, at 8 a.m. preliminary, Volodymyr Zelensky has won with over 70% of votes and current President Poroshenko gets about 25%.
Besides, Central Election Commission processed 100% of the protocols at abroad election district: Petro Poroshenko gained 54,74% of the votes, while Zelensky got 43,78%.
