President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated the operation of the ceasefire mode in Donbas, despite the provocations of pro-Russian militants. According to him, the ceasefire made it possible to minimize Ukrainian losses. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"The President stated: there are enemy provocations, shots and, unfortunately, one killed soldier, but the ceasefire has helped to minimize losses in the Ukrainian army," the message informs.

As the head of state noted, the ceasefire in Donbas has been in effect for almost 90 days and there was only one combat loss.

"I want to emphasize once again that the whole world sees that over the past 90 days since the beginning of the ceasefire mode in Donbas, we have had only one combat loss. Unfortunately, this is a loss, but we understand that this mechanism really works," he said.

As we reported earlier, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has recorded a total of 1,735 violations of the ceasefire in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions since the beginning of ceasefire regime.
