Case of Yanukovych’s money: Court decision held in secret

Prosecutor General’s Office commented on Al Jazeera’s investigation into the crimes of Yanukovych and his sidekicks

The court decision that stipulates seizing the so-called ‘Yanukovych’s money’ is kept in secret; the reason is that the investigation into activities of many involved companies is still running. Yevhen Yenin, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine said that commenting on Al Jazeera’s investigative report on the crimes committed by former president Viktor Yanukovych and other high-ranked Ukrainian officials who worked during his rule.

Prosecutor General’s Office neither confirmed nor refuted the information released by the TV channel. Al Jazeera marks that the city court of Kramatorsk decided to seize ‘Yanukovych’s money’ in March 2017; however, it took another two months before Prosecutor General’s Office revealed there was a decision, saying it was classified.
