The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided on the procedure of conducting the Ukrainian language exams for officials. The relevant decision was made at a government session on Wednesday, April 14; the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Vasyl Mokan reported this in his Telegram-channel.
Mokan said that the resolution provides the following moments:
- the exam for knowledge of the state language consists of written and oral parts; it takes the form of anonymous testing using computer technology;
- the methodology and instructions for its implementation are determined and approved by the National Commission for State Language Standards, which issues a certificate of language proficiency based on the results of the exam.
It should be noted that the procedure for conducting such an exam has not been published on the government portal.
It is also known that about 150,000 future statesmen will have to pass such an exam in 2021.
As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the issue of the Ukrainian language is not urgent now, as the language is fully protected.
