The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the rules of quarantine in Ukraine. The decree will take effect seven days after the moment of release. Press office of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported that on September 13.
"The changes that we offered is an opportunity to restrain the epidemic situation and keep the economic activity of Ukraine. We say that there is a chance for everyone to get vaccinated and stay protected; there's enough vaccine for that", said Minister Viktor Lyashko.
Specifically, the new quarantine rules foresee that citizens can get a Covid certificate of two kinds. The yellow certificate means that the holder received one dose of the vaccine, and the green one means that the holder completed the vaccination course with two doses.
The requirements for education institutions have been simplified in the case of yellow-level quarantine. These institutions will be working if at least 80 percent of the staff carry the "yellow" or "green" Covid certificates.
There will be no restrictions in the "yellow" zone, as long as all guests and at least 80 percent of the staff of events, cinema halls, theaters, museums and other art estabishments carry the "yellow" or "green" Covid certificates. However, the owners of respective institutions enjoy the right to choose whether they will service only the vaccinated people - or not.
If the red level of epidemiological danger is introduced, the schools, colleges and universities will be working only if 100% of the staff carry the green Covid certificates. At the same time, the current restrictions of the red level will not be applied if all guests and the staff of cinema halls and theaters carry green Covid certificates.
A person will not need to undergo self-isolation during the border crossing procedure, as long as he/she carries the yellow or green vaccination certificate. This also concerns the people arriving from the tremporarily occupied territories.
