The Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada approved the allocation of 1.4 billion hryvnias (over 527,9 million dollars) from the State Budget 2020 for the purchase of vaccines against coronavirus. Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported about it on his Telegram channel.
"The Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee has just approved the allocation of 1.4 billion hryvnias (nearly 528 million dollars) from the 2020 state budget for the purchase of vaccines against Covid-19," Honcharenko wrote.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that France was ready to help Ukraine with supplies of the vaccine against coronavirus.
"I am grateful to Emmanuel Macron for the readiness to assist with speeding up for the provision of the vaccine against Covid-19. This is a gesture of true friendship. I appreciate the support of sovereignty and territorial integrity, and peaceful initiatives by France," wrote the Ukrainian President.
The first stage of the vaccination process will take place from January 2021 to April 2021.
