The House of Commons of the British Parliament voted to Implement Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty on European Union on withdrawal from the EU, reports Russian BBC.
After two days of debates in the Parliament, the draft was voted for by 498 deputies and voted against by 114.
During the discussion the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union David Davis reminded MPs that if they did not approve the bill, they would go against the will of the people.
The second reading of the bill, during which the question will be discussed in more detail, is scheduled for February 6.
Earlier it was reported that how Britain's Brexit would affect Ukraine. Britain with its current government is unlikely to completely break the dialogue with Moscow.
